most times it is difficult to reunite with your family at the finish line. If you get separated from your children, find
a uniformed officer and they will assist you in getting to the Lost Kid Corral located at the flag poles.
Remember to bring your cell phones in case you are separated from your group.
Dress properly – the race is held rain or shine. Check the weather and dress accordingly.
Pin your race number on the front of your shirt. This number MUST be visible. Do not leave home without it! This is your ticket to participate.
Be early! Plan to arrive by 7:45am to allow yourself plenty of time.

Timed runners for the 5K and 8-Mile will line up in the front inside the timed runner corrals. You must have your timing chip on your shoe in order to gain access to the timed runner corrals. Both 5k and 8-Mile timed runners will line up together in the corrals.
Running of the Turkeys World Record participants will gain access to their designated starting area through the designated entrance near the rear of the timed runner corrals. Remember, you must have your turkey costume verified at the Capital One Bank tent and have an official Guinness Book of World Records wrist band in order to gain access to the Running of the Turkeys starting area.
Untimed participants for the 5k and 8-Mile will line up behind the Running of the Turkeys participants. We ask that all participants line up in the starting area. For your safety and the safety of others, please do not wait along the sidewalks along the first mile of the race course and enter the race after the runners are released.
All dogs and strollers are required to line up at the back of the pack. Please keep all dogs to a maximum 3 foot leash.
We are using the ChronoTrack "D" Tag Timing System. Timed participants will no longer have to register their timing chip or have it removed at the finish line. The peel-off, disposable portion of the bib becomes a tag that runners attach to their shoes.
Only timed runners are allowed in the timed runner corrals located at the front of the starting line area. We remind you that your untimed loved ones will not be allowed to accompany you into the corrals.
Awards for the top male and females in each race will be a part of the awards ceremony at the stage located near the 8-Mile finish. Age group results will be posted at the information tent and age group awards will be mailed out after the race.
